Educator: Cleveland School of the Arts
CSA is a high school dedicated to nurturing artistic talent and creativity. With a strong emphasis on both technique and artistic expression, CSA offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to challenge and inspire budding young artists.
My journey began at CSA with my student teaching in the Spring of 2013. I was drawn to the school's commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive artistic community, enabling students to explore their creative potential and develop their skills.
Currently, I teach Art Foundations, Drawing & Painting as well as AP Art History. I also serve as Visual Art Department Chair. I am honored to be among such creative teens and colleagues each day.
As an art educator, I believe in the power of art to not only enrich the lives of students, but also to enhance the communities they inhabit. My teaching is committed to getting students out into the community to engage in artistic endeavors that inspire creativity and connection. Through collaborative projects students have the opportunity to use their artistic talents to make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom. By participating in community art events, our students gain valuable real-world experience while contributing to the cultural fabric of the neighborhoods and cities we call home.
